When things just don’t work out like you expected, do you ever feel like a failure? You try and try and it seems like nothing ever works out. Did you know it is said that Thomas Edison performed 50,000 experiments before he succeeded in producing a storage battery? We might assume the famous inventor would have had some serious doubts along the way. But when asked if he ever became discouraged working so long without results, Edison replied, "Results? Why, I know 50,000 things that won't work."
As we face the fear of failure, we will do well to remember the only time we really fail, is if we fail to get up and try again.
The Bible lets us know that the race of life is not a sprint, but rather a marathon. We will face a few pot holes in the race, but the key is to keep running to the goal. You know the goal?
“But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13-14 New International Version
In this day, what a joy to know our Lord will help us along the pathway of life as we keep our eyes on Him. Have a blessed day.
