We are all very aware of Jesus’ words from Matthew 7…”So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12
This past Sunday, we were able to see how that was going to work. If you were able to be here to worship with us, you know we invited a guest to come and help us illustrate how important it is for the church to reach out to people.
Tina did a great job of wandering around the corridors of the church building before and after each service yesterday. She was the person no one knew, and she was dressed a little different than some of us.
I am excited to share with you some of her comments. She said, “This is the friendliest church I have ever been in. People came up to me and started talking, and seeing I was alone, they even invited me to sit with them in worship.”
That is a win for the Kingdom and a reflection of the way many of you are reaching out to others. Tina also told me she had been looking for a church family and she intends to join us again to honor the Lord in worship. I don’t know how this story will end, but I do know you are the ones who opened the door for a lady named Tina.
I want to thank you for your kindness and I encourage all of us to keep our eyes open to the opportunities our Lord will provide. Have a great week and keep up the great work on behalf of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mike
